What the price actually is
Starter tier, billed monthly. Higgsfield sells credit-bounded tiers and runs frequent promotional pricing, so what counts as list price moves. Credits buy generation time, so a heavy month needs top-ups on top of the subscription.
The usage this is priced against
Around three minutes of finished generated video a month with camera-motion control, priced against running open video weights on rented high-end GPUs.

Rates come from a dated rate card of representative published API prices, not from the vendor. Nobody outside these companies knows what they actually pay; volume discounts and in-house serving both push real costs below these figures, which makes every multiple here a floor rather than a ceiling.
Why this verdict, not the number
The product's claim is control rather than raw generation — specified camera moves and VFX behaviour that a general text-to-video model will not follow reliably. That is trained capability, not prompting, and there is no API for it to wrap. Video is also the most compute-hungry category here, which compresses the multiple before any argument is made. The honest pressure is that this is a fast-moving field where an open model absorbing the same capability would collapse the gap quickly.

What you lose if you leave

The honest cheaper path
Open video weights such as the Wan or LTX families on a rented A100, driven by ControlNet-style conditioning for camera movement. Cheaper per second, considerably more setup, and less predictable direction.
